My focus moving forward from project x2 was this building shown above. This building acts as a childcare center that also provides housing for single parent families. The goal behind this program was to look at childcare in a different light. One where families come together to create a safe community for one another.
I choose a perspective section cut to depict this building. Starting on the main level, shown is a reading pit for children, open table space and a communal kitchen. To the left a large staircase leading to the second level duels as open seating. On the second level a lookout is provided, as well as open lounge seating and private office spaces. The housing shown includes loft spaces to optimize floor space.
