This building is a painting tools store, and located in the city center of Aachen, Germany. It has two floors, the first floor has an area of about 324 square meters.
The second floor of the building occupies only a small portion of it, and the rest of the space forms a two-story high open space with the first floor. The spaces enclosed by glass in the front half and on the sides are well lighted, while the spaces composed entirely of beton and wood are well concealed.

This knolled diagram shows the main elements of the building's original composition. The front of the building consists mainly of glass, a variety of different supportive steel frames, and the back half and interior consists of beton and wood panels. The center of the building is supported by two columns that support the internal structure.
The map tries to explore the connections between plants stuff and pets stuff. First, plants stuff and pets stuff are shown in terms of production, use, circulation and disposal. Then in the connection between them, showing the differences in their respective circulatory systems, both of them can make people feel happy and relaxed, and the phenomenon that people who have pets also keep plants.

I opened up parts of the second and first floors to allow for better interaction between the two floors, as well as to allow more light into parts of the space. Moving the staircase to a more centered position gives more large two-story high spaces on both the left and right sides of the staircase. And a couple of glass windows have been opened on the glass side, which will give the pets more room to be active. The different areas are then divided so that each small space had its own unique function. Different of these trellises have different heights as well as different shapes, with some lattices being more dense and other poles simply lined up.
This plan animation illustrates the activity and distribution of pets and plants in this space. On the first level, there are some green houses, a fountain area for pets to drink water, an area for pets to eat, a space for pet toys and some areas where people and pets can rest and interact with each other. The second floor is relatively quiet for pets to sleep and rest.
This parallax video shows the height variations of the different trellises and the distribution of the interior spaces. The space opened in the middle through the first and second floors is distributed with a number of extremely high trellises, two of which are green houses that can be viewed from both floors at the same time, while some of the active states of the first floor can also be seen from the second floor.
These sets of renderings show the real space inside. Such as the sets of chairs with uneven heights, they are designed with trellises concept, and they are not only for people and pets to rest, but also pets can burrow underneath the trellises and play under the high and low trellises. In the view of the second floor, pets and people can rest and enjoy the view of green house and various plants. The pet toy area set at the entrance allows pets to pick their favorite toys as they enter.
