For project 3, we expanded upon our group’s site massing model. I was responsible for designing the entry structure leading into our site. I redesigned the plinth so that it intertwines with the residential and public areas using organic forms. I wanted to show the flexibity this space has for different types of programming. The programming depicted in this video includes a cafe and public park with pockets of landscaping that the public or residents can enjoy. As for the residential parts of this site, I chose to design a co-op style housing where the bathrooms and bedrooms are private but all other necessary amenities (such as kitchen, washing machines, lounge area), are shared.
