The image above shows the floorplan for the first level of Sylvia's Happy Place. For Sylvia's Happy place she wanted a place to read, snack, play video games, and have fun. The site incorporates different types of built in furniture such as nooks for reading, cabinets, and fun pits.
The second level incorporates a built in loft space for Sylvia to nap and enjoy herself. The loft connects to the rest of the space through a builtin ladder on the side wall adjacent to the game station.
The image above shows a section looking to the West of the building. This view showcases the built in bookshelves and reading nook along with the loft space and skylights.
This section is looking to the North of the building. This view showcases the gaming center, built in bookshelves and the loft space and skylights.
From the North elevation you can see the main entry of the site. Along with the second form of egress from the loft aside from the ladder, which is sylvias firemans pole.This view also shows transparent surfaces along the loft area.
The West elevation also showcases the vertical aspects of the form along with other transparent surfaces and approach.
