This parti represents the connection between the five geometric shapes that originated from the carving out of a cylinder shape. Fractured shapes show the variation of form possibilities through rotation.

This image shows the variation of shape and voids that each mass creates. The spotted lights on the forms emphasize the different levels of shadow and light produced by this arrangement. This view shows the pieces independent of each other to show the modular ability of the five shapes.

The form consists of 5 identical shapes with either no openings, one opening, or two openings. Flat surfaces appear on multiple sides, allowing the form to shift into a new position with new floor and wall conditions. These surfaces can also create moments of connection with each other and generate sub-spaces from those tangencies.

This image considers the five shapes' form, density, and program. I wanted to explore the possible flexibility of the shapes by sitting them on water and selecting surfaces to be the floor. I also imagine these shapes as portable and lightweight, like boats on a lake. The figures in the form are performers and audiences that create a theatre on water.
