North Elevation: Kraig’s Happy Place has a sleeping & reading area as well as another nook in which to climb which act as a transitory space from the lower level to the sleeping envelop.

Roof Plan: This view reveals the Happy Place form carved actions. The primary container is pierced and carved out with a form that creates the sleeping envelope and fenestration. The second; a  main form that generates the bathing/cocoon area whiich becomes an exterior vent.

Section Plan: Shown above is a section cut of the upper level of Kraig’s Happy Place. A space accessed climping up through a cavity to then reveal a a sleeping envelope with a wide view.

Floor Plan: Shown Kraig’s Happy Place is accessed from the left to the built-in table/desk/sink and recharging pod and WC and sculpture steps to the sleeping space and window nook. It was a panoramic window on the front.

East Elevation: Kraig wanted a Metabolic architectural expression that I tried to deliver with the expression of the apertures; openings whose dna is the connected form that contain them.

Transverse Section: This section cut shows how the one built-in funiture functions to support Kraig’s needs: a reflective, recharging space that acts as a WC; work surface to eat and work, and sitting to relax and see the view of the great outdoors.

Poster: The poster is a comic of Kraigs use of the space through time. From waking up, reading, moving around the space, bbq-ing outside, singing in the shower and completing the cycle in his cozy sleeping envelope.
