The program I designed for this concept is a community for terminal illness. The four central buildings are residential areas for both the residences and the nurses who will lived there temporarily. The building on the left bottom corner is permanent residential building for the nurses. The two building that located on the top left and right corners are for public togethering and memorial space.
When I was researching the background of terminal illness, I noticed that the current terminal illness care only had every limited programs for the residences. The terminal illness people often feel disconnection with others and thinking themselves as a burden to the family. In order to solves some of their pre existed concern and lack of programs, I incorporate some of my teammates programs, include playground as the organe round shape, spot for blind people as green dot, and spaces for conversation as blue wave.
tThe other design strategy I used is confetti. A set of installation that scattered around the whole site re imagines the space as a lively and energic layering of architecture, landscape, and social activity.
