This isometric view shows a room with a predominantly cylindrical interior, two windows, and a door. The upper window is a square that intersects with the cylinder and the outer surfaces of the truncated pyramid, creating a triangular looking yet irregular-shaped opening. The other window has a sleek curved shape and is formed by the interaction of a half sphere from the outside with the inner cylinder. Additionally, there is a horizontal half cylinder from the outside that touches the ground and intersects with the inner cylinder, creating a door with a semi-arched appearance.

These series of elevation sketches show the variations in which different opening shapes intersect with the outer truncated pyramid and inner cylinder to create the windows and the door. The sketches explore different portions and positions of the shapes, testing their visual looking.

This elevation directly showcases the structure of the larger window, as well as the relationship between the smaller window and the door from the opposite side, which are divided in a half-and-half portion. All of them are created through the subtraction process involving the outer shape, the interior volume, and the three intersection shapes, rather than relying on any of their isolated original forms.

This series of section sketches tests the variety of combination methods between outside intersection shapes and the outer shape while preserving the original outline of the rotated truncated pyramid’s side view.

This section cut through the outer shape of the truncated pyramid and the intersection shapes more directly showcases the relationship of the smaller window with the inner volume. It also demonstrates how these intersections do not affect the outline of the truncated pyramid.
