Yingyao Lu
This is the section perspective of my project. Since our group used the plinth to connect our sections, I think the form of my design should have some interaction with the plinth. So I choose the floor slab to be the focus of my design. For the façade, I used glass to highlight the horizontal and diagonal lines represented by the floors.
There is the black side elevation of my project. On the first floor, which is under the plinth, there is a community center. It contains a café and offices providing assistance to residents in their daily lives. The other side is a community art gallery, which exhibits the history of the site and the surrounding neighborhood, and also the artworks of residents. From the second floor to the top, there are housing spaces. There is a double-height space on the third floor ,which is the shareable sitting room and entertainments. Besides, there are a public reading space on the fourth floor and a roof garden.
