From this isometric view, you can see that the lower part of the cube-shaped room has a larger incision as an entrance. To achieve a sense of balance of weight, a roughly equivalent-sized sphere is cut as a skylight at the diagonally opposite corner of the entrance. This creates a corresponding sense of weight balance. A small circular skylight is opened in the roof to alleviate the heaviness of the structure. Additionally, side windows are opened to reduce the weightiness of the walls, and they align horizontally with the small skylight to create a linear lighting effect at the entrance.

The elevation sketch represents the process of exploring the most balanced configuration of the various elements. I initially established a few basic elements to combine together. From the first picture, it can be observed that a sphere was cut as an entrance, and it is correspondingly matched with a diagonally cut at the back. However, this configuration alone cannot overcome the heaviness brought by the walls and ceiling, as seen in the second and third picture.

In this elevation drawing, we can see clearly there is a cut on the left side by a vertical rectangle. While eliminating the heaviness of the room, it opens up a slit window on the right side, creating a contrasting feeling of light and shadow with the large window resulting from the spherical incision. This avoids overshadowing the main window's prominence.

The sectional sketch depicts the relationships between the internal spaces in different states, to explore the perception of interior space. The first three pictures show relatively monotonous internal spatial feeling, with the entire walls and ceilings appearing excessively heavy. The final one effectively reduces this sensation, creating a moderate atmosphere within the space.

From the section drawing, it can be observed that the left, middle, and right sections each occupy approximately one-third of the space, with each side being almost equally divided by the mass. The middle third constitutes the entrance opening, and the entire internal space takes on a cylindrical shape. The cutting of these elements creat an interesting and diverse spatial composition.
